I like how this is comedic but also very true. There really are so many lies in circulation, especially in academia, that don't line up with the facts or even basic logic and science. People don't know what to do with this God-Man Jesus who defies their explanations and literally "takes a 7 mile jaunt to Emmaus" This video gave me chills when it described the utter torture and beating inflicted upon our God. The gravity of that always hits me and weighs down upon me as I remember that we are to blame. Blood, too, was and is on my hands. We killed God the Son, but God the Father rose him up in glory and honor for the whole world to see. He went from weakness and suffering to fullness and majestic King. Humanity doesn't know what to do with this knowledge, so they suppress it and attempt to explain it away with crafty lies disguised as truth. But those who follow this slain Lamb can see through the foolishness, reminding others that there is indeed another story or explanation to consider. Some do so in ways that are condemning and mean, but many exist who actually speak up humbly on behalf of their Savior that is largely ignored and mocked. I like Chandler's way of approaching this passage of Scripture and engaging the scoffers and scholarly opponents of Christ, with a demeanor that is very Dane Cook-like if I can put it that way. It's just great to see some redeemed humor and creativity being used for God's kingdom and glory. It's awesome :)
